Ghanaian law and jurisdiction covers a wide range of areas of law most of which we have qualified and competent personnel with hands-on experience in.

  • Corporate

    General corporate advice on agreements, incorporation, restructuring, joint ventures, acquisitions and takeovers under the Ghanaian companies act and investment laws. Undertaking of due diligence on companies for clients interested in investing in such companies. Advising and proffering legal opinions on projects finance to lenders, issuers, borrowers of corporate debt, bond issues, loans and overdrafts. The firm also provides company secretarial services for some of its clients.

  • Commercial & Construction Contracts

    Advice, negotiations, reviews and drafting of commercial contracts, warranties, guarantees, novation and assignments. Assisting clients prepare bids for supply and service contracts.

  • Admiralty & Maritime

    Advising and aiding clients in the acquisition and registration of vessels, ship finance and mortgage transactions, preparation of service, labour and licence agreements. Preparation, review and appraisal of Charter Party and Tow Agreements. Dispute resolution involving arrest and release of vessels.

  • Labour & Employment

    Advice on employer/labour relations, dispute resolution. Advising and preparation of conditions of service and collective bargaining negotiations and agreements, consultancy agreements, personnel and employee relations, public enquiries, industrial safety, provident and collective savings trust.

  • Petroleum - Marketing & Exploration

    Preparation, review and appraisal of crude sales contracts, contract for purchase and sales of petroleum products, crude processing agreements, frame contracts, affreightment contracts. Preparation and review of joint venture agreement with other oil companies for the sale of joint tender of crude and petroleum products. Negotiation and preparation of petroleum agreements, seismic survey contracts.

  • Real Estate

    Advisory services to estate developers and prospective real estate buyers, public authorities, drafting of all the necessary documentation including construction contracts, transfer documents, acquisition of the necessary consents and approvals, investigations of title and registration of interest and title.

  • Arbitration & Conflict Resolution

    Advice on arbitration and dispute resolution, resolution of conflicts and recovery of debts and assets through litigation in the court and arbitration procedures and the exploration of any available alternative dispute resolution in areas of real and intellectual property right.

  • Insurance

    Advice, presentation of proposals, negotiation of premium, negotiation of claims with a follow-up till settlement are part of the services provided.

  • Litigation

    All the Partners and all Associates have worked in litigation from commencement, pleadings, hearings, to execution of judgments and appeals. Criminal Defence is also undertaken within the court structures of Ghana. We shall be available for criminal prosecution should the Authority’s new Legal regime allow.
